Obama STIMULIS for EGYPT??!!

Here we go again... another one of many stories of how crazy this administration is and just how far out of touch they are with the American electorate and taxpayers they are supposed to serve and represent.

This government, designed and enacted for the people and by the people at the wisdom of our forefathers, is dominated now by out of touch, socialist, elitists that presume to know what is better for us than we, their masters, do.

Yesterday, on Sunday, July 15, Secretary of State (SoS) Hilary Clinton ended talks with the interim Egyptian "government,” and I use the term government loosely, and she agreed to provide them additional aid of up to $1 billion to help bolster their flailing economy...

Unbelievable, though it is true, and this administration is allowing this to happen, endorsing it wholeheartedly, despite national records in deficit, unemployment and stalled economic growth in all sectors. We are in a major recession, jobs are at a premium, I would find it hard pressed to explain and get buy-in from any large constituency in this country that spending and additional $1 Billion in taxpayer money is in our best interests. That stimulating the Egyptian economy, when our own is stagnant, is in our national best interests…

Egypt currently doesn't even have a true government. At this point they are still being led by a military council that is reluctant to relinquish power to the civilian elected body.

Now did you cue in earlier to when I stated "additional aid", well here's what I was referring to: Back in April of this year, the Obama administration quietly released $1.5 billion in foreign aid to this freshman Egyptian “government”; this government, overseen by the military, which is now dominated by an Islamic brotherhood-led coalition in their parliament. Our President gave this “government” which also does not guarantee human rights, personal freedoms and civil rights equally to men and women and which treats LGBT as criminals; a government whose law that is dominated by religious sectarian interpretation of Sharia law, Obama gave them $1.5 Billion of our American taxpayer money.

So on top of that $1.5 billion given to them just 3 months ago, where it has all gone and whose pockets it is in all now we don't know, now via SoS Clinton, we have given them another up to $1 Billion dollar handout... Remember now, this is a technically a brand new government, in its infancy so to speak, which no declaration of friendship or alliance to the United States. Now, being led by a religio-political coalition called the [Islamic] Brotherhood, one of whose chief aims is the destruction of the Israeli state and another is the subjugation and conversion of all races to Islam.

On top of this, the democrats are continuing the debate of raising taxes on the American "rich" and threatening of raising taxes on all working Americans this upcoming January 1st...

I would say there will be a huge fight, not only from the republicans, but from all working/taxpaying Americans on this additional taxation. Especially noteworthy when this legislative body cannot even create and adhere to a budget for one single year. Why wouldn't we??!!

Why would you let your government tax you even more to extend entitlements, to not only your own unwilling and non-productive citizens, but to other countries (who do not have our country's best interest in hand), in an effort to win their hearts and minds support or is it a payment – are we now paying at a national level the Jizya to Islam?

Why should we let the government continue to raise our taxes without a plan on how they intend to spend that revenue and how those expenditures are in the best interests of all Americans and how they also plan to eliminate the additional debt we have doubled/incurred in the last 3 years of this current administration...

"Incoherent but Brilliant" Healthcare - also known as BULLSHIT!

So here it goes, my recession devalued two cents on a matter that is still being publicly discussed and weighed.  Disappointment for some, elation for others - for me though, disappointing in the extreme, not for a political idealogy but for the United States of America and the integrity of our highest court and our CONSTITUTION.

Fourteenth President of the United States of America, Franklin Pierce, said,

"The storm of frenzy and faction must inevitably dash itself in vain against the unshaken rock of the Constitution."

The sad thing is that this non-partisan view of the CONSTITUTION cost him his second term of office, as the Democrats replaced him with James Buchanan.

Now I understand that the Supreme Court, AKA SCOTUS, has made their ruling and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act AKA Obamacare will stand (for now). My trouble is that what I had originally believed about Justice Roberts' ruling and his reasoning was actually wrong. His unquestionable integrity is now, in my mind, quite in the opposite, questionable... leaving Pelosi and the lefties to truthfully and arguably "Blame Bush" for the successful passage of that public law.

But in all seriousness, I really believe the dissenting judges got it right. I am aware of the fact that the justices have consciences and must sometimes rule in a manner they personally disagree with, but that is because it is based on law or precedent OR according to the Constitution, the guiding priniciple of law of this nation. But the majority opinion just looks like a mob looking for rationale, a REASON to make the law WORK rather than whether it follows our CONSTITUTION or not, which is the antithesis of what I believed SHOULD be a SCOTUS Justices' view.

Someone was recently quoted as describing Chief Justice Roberts' opinion as

“incoherent but brilliant.”
You will have to pardon my language, BUT WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!

in·co·her·ent   [in-koh-heer-uhnt] Adj.
Without logical or meaningful connection; disjointed; rambling
The person who put incoherent and brilliant in the same sentence is a dumbass, those two words together in a sentence just do not reconcile at all...

What I had initially understood was that Justice Roberts was exercising personal courage and integrity to call a tiger a tiger by its stripes, by ruling that the law was a tax law BUT in retrospect that doesn't jive with the rest of his opinion...

The fact that since the penalty "tax" hasn't been implemented (makes that judgment moot); since no tax implementation means this should not have been ruled on right now and that since therefore the individual mandate was ruled as UNCONSTITUTIONAL the whole thing should have been sent back to the body of legislative mentally challenged idiots (we call them CONGRESS) who wrote it. And yes, they are the same dumbasses that never even read it in the first place prior to its initial passing; there they could endeavor to do it over again, without the individual mandate... Since it is not SCOTUS' job to EDIT law but only to adjudicate it as CONSTITUTIONAL OR NOT, it therefore should have been nullified.

Roberts' opinion then, becomes not one of CONSTITUTIONAL ADJUDICATION but one of a more personal nature; that of VALIDATION OF THE SCOTUS as an institutional body and not a ruling on the actual CONSTITUTIONAL MERIT of Obamacare...

Chief Justice Roberts ended up making a change in his decison, it appears, under duress and pressure, from BOTH the left-leaning press and the public podium scolding of President Obama. Changing his decision into a defense of and defining or protecting the Supreme Court institution from the press or any detractors instead of basing his opinion on the law and the CONSTITUTION. The whole idea for their life term appointments to the Supreme Court is supposed to eliminate any of this kind of strongarming to a decision.

In Marbury vs. Madison, Chief Justice John Marshall wrote in the majority opinion:

“A law repugnant to the Constitution is void.”

Obamacare, by the very nature of the individual mandate is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and REPUGNANT and should have been therefore nullified.  The WHOLE legislation should then have been sent back down to CONGRESS to fix it.  It would then have to go back through the whole ratification process over and then sent to the President for signature.

Even Grover Cleveland, a Democrat President, regularly VETOed Congressional legislation that had been championed by his own party  because it presumed too much and overstepped Constitution restraints and enumerated powers.

President Cleveland was known to have said the following:

"A government for the people must depend for its success on the intelligence, the morality, the justice, and the interest of the people themselves."

and he also said,

"Officeholders are the agents of the people, not their masters."

Notably, regarding government entitlements and handouts President Cleveland also said:
"Though the people support the government; the government should not support the people."

Grover Cleveland should be a symbol to Democrats that you can take strong personal positions and yet not overstep the Constitution.  Cleveland espoused a theory of limited government...

The enumerated powers are a list of items found in Article I, section 8 of the U.S. Constitution that set forth the authoritative capacity of the United States Congress. In short, it maps out to Congress the powers they may exercise, granted to them in the Constitution, and they are further restricted by the Bill of Rights and other protections of the individual citizens and states in the Constitution. The 10th Amendment to the Constitution states,

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Nowhere in the Costitution or the Bill of Rights, nor in any of the Amendments, does it give the Congress the right of or power to make healthcare a national right or to even define healhcare as an unalienable right to be ensured in universal disbursement WITHOUT CHANGING THE CONSTITUTION; therefore, healthcare in any form is reserved to the States and or the people themselves, which arguably is health insurance in the private sector as we know it now.

As a matter of fact, because of this questionable CONSTITUTIONALITY, quite a few of the states have refused to start financing or funding the mandated exchanges that are supposed to be in effect by 2014 to effect the choices and begin to enforce the mandate... These states are banking on change in the upcoming elections and that the newly seated Congress next year will act to repeal the law...
When Governors of states act that strongly, there is definitely a problem with the law.

Interestingly though, the Court did not bring up Munn vs. Illinois, in 1877, where it was ruled that

"Businesses that serve the public interest are subject to regulation by STATE government..."
Health insurance companies = public interest = State government regulation NOT Federal...

I also find it interesting that in 1990, Cruzan vs. Missouri Dept. of Health, the court found that while the Constitution protects a person's right to reject life-preserving medical treatment ("right to die"), it also left it up to STATES to regulate that interest as long as the regulation is reasonable... Wouldn't it be, following that logic, that in the area of health AND healthcare, that people can reject imposed health care, and if not, that STATES would be in charge of the reasonable legislation of that healthcare - especially being, going back to the Constitution, that healthcare is NOT enumerated as a Federal government power...??

You be the judge... what do you think? What legal or CONSTITUTIONAL precendent do you offer, outside of the unintelligible "incoherent" recent ruling that follows no logical legal precedent or course other than a personal reputation agenda...

Catholicism, Mr. Obama and the US Constitution

So, earlier today, I was on the air, briefly with Mr. Hugh Hewitt, the topic of his radio show was of course the hot potato of the Obama order for the Catholic Church to provide health insurance services for their workers that are contrary to their faith and teaching. The order, I might add, that he has since "modified", through expert smoke and mirrors, that still does not change the essential fact that he is still holding the Catholic Church to providing sterilization and contraceptives to their workers against their theology as a free and long established religion in the United States, as a matter of fact the Catholic Church was on this continent almost 300 years before the Constitution was ratified and in effect.

Well, anways, I called into the show and Hugh's screener patiently listened to me and then Mr. Hewitt graciously allowed me to go on the air and voice my opinion...

To let you all into where I was mentally when I started speaking here's a bit of the background:

Some ignorant callers had the gall to say that Catholics could "choose to use or not to use" those services and some also pointed out the examples (terrible ones at that) of Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden, and others, even the caller herself, as stating they are "Good Catholics" that believe in the use of sterilization, abortion and artificial contraception...I was personally incensed by this lack of understanding of Catholicism, one held by many igorant people in America and even some Catholics themselves, but not only that but also by the simple fact that these folks considered themselves to be "Good Catholics" yet even as they remain defiantly opposed in word and deed to the theology and dogma of our Church as directed by Its leader, the Holy Father, our Pope in Rome.

Don't get me wrong, and some of you will, and say that I am JUDGING these fellow Catholics and I am not, I am saying they are wrong in their assumption that if they continue to do what is in direct contradiction to the Church's teaching, believing that if they still go to Mass and take their sacraments and tithe, that they are "good Catholics"... Unfortunately its not that simple, the Catholic faith is not an a'la carte menu that we can choose what we want to be part of and what we don't want to be part of. Catholicism by its very nature means UNIVERSAL, one faith through a unified theology. Just like any of the major religions of the world, they and the Catholic Church all have major pillars of their faith that set them apart, part of their root dogma and belief system...

Of course, one of the problems is that American Catholics, in our great freedom experiment of a country; freedom of spirit and action, we have chosen to take a path that has over time become quite a bit liberal to the rest of our brothers and sisters in the Universal Faith. A great deal of our errant path was due to the the liberal bishops of the 70's. American "cradle" Catholics, those born and baptised into the franchise, have largely taken for granted the wonders and tenets that our Church professes and teaches; we dropped what is inconvenient to us by the wayside and only kept that which was personally and politically convenient to us at the time... I say "we" collectively because I was one too. As we got older we lost that wonder and astonishment that the Church had for us that adult converts to Catholicism still have... Some of us, myself and quite a few others, have come back to it, it is relevant once again to us and we accept it in its entirety in intellectual obedience. NOTE: The Catholic Church doesn't want mindless zombie followers, it wants us to think and be critical and then CHOOSE to follow her DESPITE what we think, and that my friends is FAITH.

Ok that was the background that I came into my comments on the air with Mr. Hugh Hewitt.

I wrote down my thoughts on a notepad so that when he let me on the air I wouldn't be a mindless babbler, uuh uhhing my way through it....

((1)) This is not a Catholic issue, this is a fundmental 1st Amendment Issue. The Federal Government shall make no law regulating nor prohibiting the free exercise or expression of a religion and that of religious freedom.

((2)) Liberal Social Legislation and liberal social morality passed by a legilsative body, no matter how officious sounding, still does not trump that 1st Amendment protection afforded to ALL religions, religious dogma, theology or church morality and teaching...

((3)) To use Biden and Pelosi as examples of "good Catholics" is to use Lee Harvey Oswald and Charles Whitman as examples of good Marines... yeah, maybe once they were, but they have taken what was pure and later have executed it in a perversion of the original intent. They either accept the Catholic faith teachings as they are intended by the Holy Father or they really need to leave and become one of the many liberal Christian faiths that allow moral flexibility and condone abortion, sterilization and mercy killing. There are special children in this world that are here despite the admonition by some in-laws and other adults to terminate the pregnancy and lives are better for them being here, though not easy, they are enriching for their very presence among us...

Star Wars Airlines Courtesy of Uncle Sam? Really? Maybe...

Yes maybe... Bear with me, a little background first, as I take you on a circuitous route to the source of my outrage at members of the Progressive left who want to spend yet more unaccounted and unfunded US taxpayer money to cover up another one of this administration's mistakes. A gross mistake that could result in the serious loss of American and foreign lives and aircraft - CIVILIAN lives and aircraft that is.

Ok, follow me, it may start slow and tedious but we'll get there...

Now, the Arab Spring has recently not only resulted in a temporary windfall of freedoms but also in the rise of Islamic populist self governance, which is just a nice flowery way of saying the genesis of the next incarnation of religio-bully government. This trend is sweeping select Middle East and north African countries... Yemen, Syria, Egypt and Libya to name just a few, but there are others that are just simmering, steaming under pressure, creeping up a fissure just under the surface (like Mount Saint Helens in the hours before its May 18, 1980, eruption). Al great deal of them are just spectating; waiting to see how it goes with their neighbors and friends, to see what WE and the rest of the world do, or fail to do.

This administration supported some of these revolutions, and I say REVOLUTIONS because they are just that, bloody and ugly conflicts of internal civil and governance matters and they are NOT psychdelic, flowery, Woodstock conventions of peaceful, hash smoking and around the May pole debates as the term Arab Spring implies. Some are being supported openly with military action, as well as/ or in lieu of military advisory and logistical support.

Specifically in Libya, Mr. Obama exhorted our NATO allies to take the lead in policing their Mediterranean neighbor to the south and then he obligated U.S. military forces to support the interventions under Presidential authority (which allows him to commit troops up to 90 days without having to have a Congressional vote of war or to enact hostilities)... My problem with this, as well as many others concerning Mr. Obama., is that HE also had diplomatic and military relations with the former Ghaddafi government routinely previous to and leading up to Mr. O's implied alliance with the Libyan rebels.. Therefore, legally speaking through precedent, "O" legitimized Ghadafi's regime, ignoring the "atrocities and civil rights abuses" that he and his Progressive cronies are NOW up in arms about in their zeal to sprinkle the Arab Spring fairy dust all over Washington.

Vexing me, and it eventually leads to the quirky title of this blog post and rant, as I take you on this jungle trail of thought (or maybe lack of thought, you decide), is this:

Flash back 2009: Why, Mr. Obama, if Moammar's regime was so evil and abusive that we have to spend millions of dollars a day to have an American aircraft carrier BATTLE GROUP on station in the operational area, either striking Ghadafi loyalist targets in Libya or flying a CAP and having patrols armed and ready to strike... why did you authorize the sale of tens of billions of dollars worth of weapons and military logistical items, items that were previously RESTRICTED to those nations? Billions with a B, to Middle Eastern and other nations, two of the beneificiary of that sale being Libya and Egypt...

What was included in those sales? I'll tell you what, let's explore that:

MANPORTABLE SURFACE TO AIR MISSILES, yep! Which by the way is a main ingredient of the Islamic fundamental terrorist and anarchist cookbook. The same type of class of missiles that are being used to effectiveness against American troop helicopters in Afghanistan (except those are OLDER less technological versions than these newer ones). Oh and THANK GOD, our administration wasn't at least STUPID enough to sell them the best, Stinger technology, that our troops currently carry as portable light anti-air defense. But they did sell them something that is still very VERY effective against unsuspecting CIVILIAN helicopters, light planes and commercical airliners... These "Red-Eye" anti-aircraft missiles use infra-red and passive heat seeking to find and damage or destroy air targets.

OK, now that you understand the capability, let explore the quantity shall we? How about wrapping your head around this ---> WELL OVER 30,000 units to Libya alone... Are you picking up what I'm laying down so far? Good. Now this was less than two years ago in 2009. Sorry Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer and the rest of the San Francisco Democrats in other states, you can't blame this one on George Bush! Therein the foundation of my outrage has been laid.

Ok, flash forward, 2011:
Queue the lights, cameras, and ACTION! Enter Stage Right: Arab Spring... Remember how President Obama encouraged the European allies along with our military aircraft to strike at Ghadafi loyalists? Yes, right? Good. Now, what constitutes a Ghadafi loyalist? Apparenty, you were wearing an actual uniform of the Libyan military... Soooo, we attacked their bases and depots... Guess what's in ammunition depots and who usually guards ammunition depots? If you guessed Ammunition and ordnance and guarded by soldiers in the uniform of their country you are smarter than a 1st grader! Now, if you were a soldier, wearing a uniform of your country's military and guarding a target would you stick around that imminent catastrosphe? HELL NO, not if you are a Libyan soldier! Soooo, the unguarded ammunition depots were looted and now there is a CONSERVATIVE estimate that OVER 20,000 shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles are missing and that they could be sold to Al Quaeda and used against soft targets such as civilian airliners, small planes and helicopters...

Ok here's where my head spins like Linda Blair in the Exorcist... Upon this being discovered and reported to the media the the twin towers of the California Democratic brain trust, Boxer and Pelosi, want to supply and equip civilian airliners with the same technology that US military planes use to defeat these types of anti-aircraft missiles AT GOVERNMENT EXPENSE to the starting estimate of over $6 BILLION... And knowing that nothing involving the government ever meets the estimate, nor is it ontime, nor it is ever well thought out when its reactionary to cover up and quell further discussion on how we arrived at this dilemma... My favorite quote of this whole debacle is the one about why we sold all this restricted hardware to all these countries that are not exactly on the A list of America's Super Friends:

"If you cut off arms sales, a client would go straight to U.S. competitors like Russia or China," he said, adding that "American monitoring of private defense sales is more systematic than most other nations."

Matthew Schroeder, an arms expert with the Federation of American Scientists.

Really?! The Democrats are like the Private First Class who just got his first checking account and thinks, "I GOT CHECKS I GOT MONEY..." Except that they go a step further with, "Well we got checks, we can PRINT MORE MONEY TOO!"

I give up trying to figure them out, I am typing this closing with only the aid of my medulla oblongata and nerve spasms to my fingers because my brain melted and that is the only thing keeping me breathing and going at this point. These Progressives are just clueless. Really??!! Yeah, really! Good morning, good evening and good night.

Been a long time, been a long lonely, lonely, lonely time...

It's been quite some time since I sat down and wrote here in my blog and I mainly apologize to myself for that since it is my outlet and something that I promised myself I would do no matter what... once a month minimum....

Back in swing soon, especially with a new politcal election process and the ensuing disinformation and dirt slinging.

Wil out.

My Adventures in Triple Bypass Surgery

It's been good to hear from you all family, brother Marines, friends and all with valid questions about my open heart surgery and I'll answer them up in short order and give you some background.

Almost 3 months ago in September, around the 25th I had some chest pressure as I was going to bed. When I would lay down it felt like someone was standing on my sternum, when I sat up it would go away.. talked with Dee and she said you are going to the hospital.

Remember us men, we don't usually go to the Dr. on our own like we should... YOU should.

They admitted me to the hospital and I stayed overnight. They found no signs of cardiac enzymes indicative of a heart attack, they told me it was probably an angina attack but that I did have quite a few risk factors: I was overweight, I snored (yes snoring is a risk factor called sleep apnea) family history of heart disease on mom and dad sides, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and a touch of adult onset diabetes due to my weight and lack of exercise. So the doctor, still concerned, gave me mainly beta blockers for hyper tension, cholesterol pills, and even some good ole nitroglycerine to get the ticker back if I did feel a heart attack coming on. Mind you this was in September.

Fact: Dr. told me all men over the age of 40 should take one baby aspirin every day or so, to help keep the blood from developing random clots that can cause stroke or heart attacks. Other risk factors include: Major alcohol usage, more than 8-12 drinks a week. SMOKING.... High sodium/salt usage contributes to high blood pressure which damages your arteries...

I started an exercise program and was doing 30-40 minutes of cardio 3-4x week and abs and chest and arms, plus playing raquetball against young Marines... 30 minutes a day MINIMUM non-work related cardio/walking/jogging makes a difference... it contributed to my rapid recovery and I am still losing weight as I recover.

Well, November15ish, (the doctor from 9/25 called me back and had asked if they had scheduled and done the cardiolight yet- they hadn't- he got on it- this guy saved my life in my humbke opinion) .

They finally scheduled my cardiolight treadmill stress test for 11/27. It's a test that is actually done in 2 parts. First part they get you on a treadmill and get your heart work rate up 65% from normal rest then they shoot you with a radioactive isotope solution (cardiolight) and put you on an MRI-like camera device that takes pictures of your heart in a circular motion for like 16 minutes. Then you come back for a resting heart rate picture the next day. They shoot the isotope in you, make you eat a fatty breakfast, I know the irony was not lost on me, and then after an hour shoot pictures of your heart again and send you home.

That evening my medical group called me, the cardiologist who read my test results says, "You have to check into the ER and stay overnight for observation." On my part, I did my best sea lawyer arguing with this guy: that it was Saturday night and nothing would be done until Monday was my main issue, which he conceded. The cadiologist didn't recommend me staying home, he highly recommended that for my age it was an emergency and to come in. I told him I would be in on Sunday AM, I reasoned with myself.

I had been at dinner with my son Jerymiah and his sister Jesika and as I drove back home I was thinking the worst possibe scenarios, so I texted Dee and told her that I was checking in and I would be in the Fontana Kaiser hospital Saturday night... After one night there, they then transferred me to St. Bernardine's Catholic Hospital on Sunday night so I could get an angiogram done Monday AM, which is the normal routine for an abnormal cardiolight test.

Monday around 11 AM-ish, they took me for my angiogram. It was a nice BIG clear HD screen, they shot some iodine dye into my heart - which I must say is impressive to feel...

Angiogram: They insert a catheter into the artery at your groin and shove a long probe thing up into your heart, they then shoot dye into your heart and INSTANTLY your whole body feels hot, like the proverbial "hot heroin body rush", similar I hear. Then you can see every artery and valve of your heart...

As he starts focusing the screen onto my heart I can actually SEE one of the blockages before he even points it out to me, it looked like two pencils held an inch apart connected by a thread, the thread being all that was open for blood to pass through, then he showed me another, then as he was saying there's a third one, all I heard was Charlie Brown's parents... All I could think was, "They are cracking my chest open. I could die on the table, they are gonna pop open my chest..." the Dr., "mwah mwah mwah mwah..." You are over saturated with info before and up to this point, there is a channel on the hospital TV - I had already watched the program, I had read all the literature they gave me and the little info-comics.. I was in a state of dread and scared.

So in a sense, yeah, this extremeness of condition was as news to me as it was to all of you, even though my denial states had already told me that I had issues inside of me, but it was real news as I posted it from my phone. Dr. said, all we need to do now is schedule you for the surgery, it could be as early as tomorrow or next week. We talked, I talked to Dee and my son, we all decided to go with the next day since I was already there, and hell- would I even have come back next week??!!

Surgery prep was something else, they shaved my whole chest (it is coming back in now and its driving me crazy) and they shaved both my legs - they were going to be taking an artery from my right leg but if that one wasn't good enough they needed my left left prepped. They wheeled me to the pre op room where Sister Catherine prayed with me. Then they. wheeled me into the surgery theater and it was surreal, they all introduced themselves to me, each face hovering over mine as I looked up as lights and stainless steel. It was cheery mood, music was playing, then I don't remember anything... blackness.

I awoke to the feeling of something being jammed into my neck and I was thinking, "Shit, they didn't give me enough sleepy night night, I am waking up in surgery." It wasnt, it was in the recovery room in CCU. They were trying to put something called a SWAN into my jugular that had a blood gas probe on it that would sit in my heart, but they coudln' get it in right, so I never worked right and they left it there for 3 days and my neck was like a steel cord after all that jabbing jamming they were doing... its sore still as it relaxes even now.

They made me get up out of bed the morning after my surgery - that was awful pain. Waking up post op with a tube in my throat had been scary too. Even though they told me, "you will have a tube in your throat breathe like you do when you are scuba diving..." I fought the respiratory tech folks and was pointing at the tube and miming it pulled out and everything, I was mad, irritable and anxious and wanted that damn thing out- but they fought back and told me to follow their instructions because if they pulled it and I was too weak to breathe on my own it would go back in. I couldn't argue with that logic at all, I stopped fighting and complied... I was dreaming of sucking on ice cubes as I was waiting to get the thing out and get my breathing up to their standards to get the intibation tubes out.

After almost 4 hours I had done enough to get it pulled out, but brother the damage was done. Because I had not been as calm and compliant as I should have been, my throat was raw and swollen and all I ate for the first 2 days was jello, ice cream, broth and ice cubes and water and a little sugar free lemon shasta soda...

Pulling the tube was just nothing like I'd ever thought it'd be, I mean I have watched ER and House, it never was that bad when they pulled their tubes...I was wrong, it was gnarly! As they pull it out of your larynx you have a total nasty mucous layer and saliva seal around your esophagus, the tubes comes out and pulls that "shit" out too and it is nasty! A big old green saliva and snot bomb they have to suction quickly or you could drown if it drops into your larynx just vacated by the intibation tube. I was happy to be breathing on my own, ragged as my throat was.

Next for me to deal with was the pain of my broken sternum; they cut my "breastbone" in half to pry open my ribs and get to my heart for the surgery. I stopped morphine after 2 days and went to just vicodin for 3 more and then went cold turkey. I take an occasional Alleve now, but no more opiates for me, I don't need an addiction and that stuff stops you up, and I am an onery person if I am constipated!!

They had me up and walking, like I said earlier, literally like within 8 hours after surgery, first just to a chair in my room to sit up in, then around the unit... They would ask me, "do you want to move back into the bed?" and I was thinking "HELL NO, that shit hurts!" but just said, "No, I'd rater sit in the chair." They told me it was great that I was sitting up- hell I just didn't want the pain of getting into bed. I never knew though, til now, how important walking and expanding your lungs is after a surgery like this, but it keeps you from getting pneumonia and actually strengthens your constitution... I am up to 1 hour (+/-) a day walking now.

It's survivable, but it would've been alot harder if I hadn't started that exercise program for a month and a half before the operation, because that really boosted my energy and strength hugely...

Anyway, I hope I anwered your questions? I'm post op day 16 now... 4.5 more weeks to go til I can go back to work, a couple until I can drive... so they say....

Here's some information on sleep apnea and snoring you might find interesting.

Second Amendment Under Fire, dodges the bullet!

Constitution of the United States: Amendment II; A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed...

Last Thursday, 24 June 2010, our Constitution and specifically the 2nd Amendment, one of its important first 10 amendments (collectively referred to as the Bill of Rights), which has been under fire very much as of late by this administration was vindicated. The result being that the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America was upheld, wisely I might add, by a majority decision (a slim 5 to 4) of our Supreme Court yesterday.

In writing the majority decision Justice Antonin Scalia properly iterates the role of the Supreme Court:

"Undoubtedly some think that the Second Amendment is outmoded in a society where our standing army is the pride of our nation, where well-trained police forces provide personal security and where gun violence is a serious problem," Scalia wrote. "That is perhaps debatable, but what is not debatable is that it is not the role of this court to pronounce the Second Amendment extinct."

Justice Scalia, shows great wisdom and clarity in that excerpt from the decision. Take into account that when our founding fathers crafted the 2nd Amendment, they had two over-arching issues in mind:

1. They wanted to ensure the nation had an armed militia that it could call upon in times of need or national duress. (Note: our Army was very small and as a fledgling nation we were definitely prey for any superpower of the era.)

Case in point, the early 20th Century, Pancho Villa, a Mexican outlaw with a large criminal entourage, was making incursions into two of the border states, New Mexico and Texas. What happened? Well, what happened was that armed American civilians fought off the criminal invaders and eventually the U.S. Army was called in to deal with it. Flash forward to the early 21st Century, we have criminal Mexican and other cartels bringing illegal traffic in the form of humans and drugs across our borders. We again have armed American civilians there, in the form of the group called the "Minutemen" to try to sound the alarm and stem the flow into their home states... Do you think that the U.S. military will come to their aid? Fat chance as the current administration's policy of border security is one of rhetoric and apathy rather than one of strength and security.

2. They also wanted to ensure that the people would not be helpless in the face of the rise of a tyrannical government as they had been when they sought Independece for us from Great Britain and started what kicked off this 230+ year experiment in Freedom and Justice For All...

Now while I also would argue that while the degrees of such needs, and the focus of those demands (and any future), have changed or (yet to be defined), the core exigent demands themselves remain.

That said, I truly believe that we can meet them while retaining some level of diligence and control. Reducing accidents and fatalities from gun use is not so much a matter of continuing to legislate tighter and tighter controls over the inplements, we have gun control now, but rather to address the behaviors that cause the use of the instruments to cause the incidents and enforcement of the existing legislation and controls. The old adage that GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE is key to this premise.

Mandatory training with certified weapons instructors during the waiting period should be incorporated into legislation, again, influencing the philosophy and the mental process of people and how and when they should use a firearm. Of course this is all academic, since the predominance of shootings and crimes with firearms are not done by law abiding individuals but those by and with criminal intentions. These indivduals don't buy their weapons via lawful means either- they steal, bribe and black market these automatice weapons of, what liberals would have us believe, mass destruction...

President Obama's Wake Up Call...

David S. Broder wrote in his Washington Post column, "The Christmas Plot appears to have shaken Obama like nothing else that happened in his first year. When he allowed the White House to quote his warning to his Cabinet colleagues that another 'screw-up' like that could not be tolerated, he seemed to signal that his benign leadership style had reached its limits."

Wil writes:
Our national security and the safety of our citizens, and any other country's citizens in the trust of our nation while they are here visiting, should not be a partisan issue.

The leadership style and philosophy of the President and his benign, global apologetic style and trusting nature to the enemies of our Constitution abroad are just infecting his department/cabinet leadership and as a result they COLLECTIVELY have looked the other way at warnings received and not acted on valid concerns that this past Christmas could have gone very badly for Americans in Detroit... it doesn't matter that the flight was coming into Detroit from an overseas airport and that country allowed the 'alleged terrorist' into the terminal and onto the flights intially, it was our government that allowed the threats to go unchecked and not have placed him on a non-entry list so he couldn't have gotten onto that flight.

President Obama needs to realize that his magnanimous HOPES that if he trusts them and respects them and APOLOGIZES to everyone that they will stop trying to attack us is just false. He also needs to come to terms that he is the one ultimately responsible for any breeches of the national security of the US. He can delegate authority but he cannot delegate resposibility, there is a reason the POTUS is called the CHIEF EXECUTIVE - it means he is the highest authority and responsible stake holder. Take a note from President Harry Truman Mr. Obama, "The Buck Stops Here" refers to the ultimate responsibility that is left in the hands of the POTUS

One thing and one thing only makes us an enemy to SO MANY people regardless of how NICE YOU ARE TO THEM, do you know what that is my friends? It is the beautiful LIVING document that was crafted OVER 234 years ago by a convention of 13 colonies and adopted and passed as the Constitution of the United States.... By virtue of our citizenship and the values of this country, we are enemies to people whom we have no quarrel with, yet they find a problem with us because we dilute the message they are trying to spread. America symbolizes the thing they are trying to destroy and their message holds no water with us in existence...

Full Body Screening - TSA's Airport Security Escalations

I have recently been reading and hearing alot of different opinions on the TSA's decision to enhance airport and passenger security by engaging these new "backscatter" imaging devices that create a mesomorphic scan of the individual that reveals the lines of their body and any "un-natural" objects that they may be hiding under their clothes and near their skin.

Some of the comments I have read are just moronic:

This one was posted by someone only identified as L on the Nothing To Do With Arbroath: Full body x-ray to be tested at U.S. airport blog;

"Yeah, sure it blurs the naughty bits. Right. How long will it be before those images start popping up (unblurred) on porn sites? All it takes is one idiot in a position of power..."

Here is another comment that was just as moronic posted on the same blog by someone identified as Tsitsi-which may be shorthand for African/Islamic wannabe terrorist who doesn't have the sack to pull it off...

"That's it, I'm not flying to the US until they stop this senseless "war on terrorism". Which might not be in my lifetime."

Trust me Tsitsi flyer, we really don't want or even need you here with an attitude like that. These are measures to protect citizens of the United States AS WELL AS OTHER countries travelling to/through the U.S. I am sorry that Canada, and wherever you are from, have no warrior ethic to fight back instead of being a constant victim economy of apathy.

Let's for a minute just focus on the comment aimed at this technology being abused for "pornographic" reasons... (and I am literally laughing out loud here, folks) I don't know about you, but this picture, and some of the newer technology ones that actually create a line drawing "likeness of the outline of the natural contours of the person being screened, ...they are about as pornographic as Picasso's "Guernica"!

Actually, Guernica is alot more sexier and provocative than the TSA security lab director, Susan Hallowell's body (who was the test subject in the second image above). The scan actually makes her look more like one of the hive zombies from the recent Will Smith flick "I am Legend"...

So come on America and our global neighbors, grow up and move on, terrorism wins most when they have altered your lifestyle and when you are talking about them. Stop talking and live your lives, move on and ignore them...

Disclaimer: Now if any of you have read or heard one of my rants before, its been awhile, but here goes another plus a little conspiracy theory of my own as well...

Now class, raise your hands. Does anyone know what country; that has a completely polar opposite socio-political ideology and views on freedom, class distinctions, freedom of speech and wealth distribution; owns the MOST of the United States' debt? BOTH Our GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE DEBT? HMMM HMMM?!

Well, if you guessed the Peoples Republic of China, RED CHINA to you old Cold War survivors, then you are right...

Now I ask you, I submit to your logic and common sense:
How smart is it for our government to have allowed a country that is ideologically on the moon compared to us, a country that has the most ACTIVE AND ROBUST espionage program against ALL SECTORS of our GOVERNMENT and INDUSTRY, has the worst CONTINUOUS record on human rights... How smart was it for our current administration to allow them to BUY such a large amount of our credit and bank AND FEDERAL DEBT!!??

Now, to have a country like this, Red China, with so much REAL pressure and influence to bear on OUR GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE SECTOR's FINANCIAL DECISIONS, wouldn't you think, maybe, just maybe for an iota of a second that this MIGHT be a NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE? Am I the only one who thinks so?

Now here's where my conspiracy theory and active imagination kicks in... remember when I have kidded before about Obama being a real life "Manchurian Candidate"? Well more like an "Islamic/Manchurian Candidate"... well here is one of the reasons why I am not so sure I may have been subconsciously projecting... (If you haven't seen either version of the Manchurian Candidate get it at Blockbuster or NetFlix, do your homework viewing and get back to us)... Now trust me on this one, Obama will not address or push the Chinese on real issues like trade imbalance or human rights issues, or the many clashes that their military has with ours where we seem to let them do whatever to our troops or planes in the interest of diplomacy because the Chinese have all of this debt leverage over him/US/U.S.!

Conspiracy theory 2: Now, the Chinese are historically brilliant economists and mathematicians- I submit for your mental faculty buffet: HOW MUCH INFLUENCE did the Chinese have on the CREATION and then PURCHASE up of all these CREDIT SWAPS??! Hmmmhmmm?
I'll tell you why they have so much of our debt, because THEY BOUGHT A CRAPLOAD OF THEM, more than any other country or individual or private fund... SCAREY THOUGHT HUH? that MAYBE the country that President BarryO is parlaying with right now may have had more than an active role in the creation and fall of the economic disaster our country just recently felt and is still reeling from?

I sometimes think, when I revert to my most Pinochet of dark places in my head, that before it gets too carried away, in the interest of NATIONAL SECURITY we should have been nationalizing that debt... that Omni-Bus stimulis should have bought that debt back from China... I know, I know, there is much more to this than simply nationalizing and "taking back" our debt and declaring that China no longer owns anything in America because US business and our government have to still go out to other countries and foreign banks and BORROW and finangle to keep the lights on, but people, we need to be cogizant that this is a crisis. And being the capitalist that I am nationalizing is something that I abhor when it is done to American business and industry abroad- spell that Chavez...

No foreign government, especially one as diabolically obtuse to the American way and our values, err I mean the values of our parents, since Obama, Pelosi and Frank have made it clear that it is no longer the values of this administration and Congress; but especially not the Chinese, should not be questioning our government on how or what they choose to spend their money on... Look at it this way, theoretically, the Chinese could say, if you spend money on supporting or bolstering your troops in say, oh Afghanistan or the Gulf, or stop pressuring Chavez or we won't loan you anyore cash or we'll call in your notes asap...

Can you all see how this much influence from a member of the UN Security Council that ALMOST NEVER agrees with us (EXCEPTO against a nuclear North Korea cuz that is a direct regional threat to them, but obtusely they are soft on Iran's nukes)... can you see how this is a VERY BAD THING??!!

Now, if you see the national direction towards Socialism we are being herded to by the left, the re-distribution of wealth, the loss of individual liberties, the marking of veteran groups and vocal moms national threats by homeland security, the central party committee err I mean the central government taking powers normally reserved for the states, you can see that the Manchurian Candidate is taking us back en masse to his controllers... LOL, true some of this I exagerrated because it tied into my movie conspiracy and well, this is a bit entertaining as well as spiritual to me, but most of it is not exaggerated. We need to be afraid and question the direction this administration is taking our country.

It would appear that The Flags of Our Fathers no longer fly over this great country... A new wind is blowing into Washington and our government and the winds are blowing from the Far East- I don't advocate xenophobia or paranoia, I advocate knowledge and the right to question and protest that which is not ideologically in line with the Constitution of the United States of America... Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for ALL AMERICANS and the ability for them not to be taxed without representation or voice...

Wil-crest OUT!

Post PresO address on Afghnaistan thoughts....

Originally written Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 10:37pm - posted late - sorry folks.

Well, here goes... let me say though, that so far, out of all the addresses he has made as President, he sounded most authoritative and Presidential in this speech. He finally figured out that he isn't campaigning anymore and that he is actually supposed to be guiding national policy now and not wishing on a Nobel Peace Star that things will get done somehow...

He was most authoritative in his definitive 30K more troops being deployed to Afghanistan by "early 2010..." but what he didn't say was that if that was a CAP to total troops or if he would send more if needed. He also failed to tell us where the money was going to come from, and by all accounts on the Hill, the Democrats want to tack on a special surcharge tax to pay for it... how about balancing your spending, that would help pay for it and fixing your broken beaurocracies that are too top heavy and s a result provide fewer services than they would if they actually had more people in the service jobs. I digress...

He also spelled out the mission which in a nutshell was: Provide security for the Afghans so that we can train them up to take over so our troops can come home.

He also spelled it out that he was going to START pulling troops out "July 2011..." what he didn't say was when we would be totally outta there - which I for once agree with him on... but usually in a situation like this 18 months is usually when we are at peak effectiveness, to start pulling out at that point? .. but spelling out an complete end date would be a bad signal and only aid to the enemy- hide until such and such a date then come out, come out wherever you are! BUT what it also does is what it did in Iraq, it forces the Afghans to step up and take part in their infrastruscture and defense and security, it also tells them we are supporting their ability to become a free and democratic state.

As LBJ said about Viet Nam and I paraphrase: "to send American boys 9 or 10 thousand miles away from home to do what Asian boys ought to be doing for themselves..."

In segue, some folks are going to scream and shout about this being another Viet Nam, just ask them crazy Code Pink idiots, they are already making that analogy at their protests. Well there are quite a few differences that don't really agree with that statement:

1. We were never attacked by Viet Nam, we WERE ATTACKED by groups that planned those missions in Afghanistan.

2. PresO pointed out that in Viet Nam we were not part of a true "coalition" of world neighbors, which TECHNICALLY is true, though I'd surely like to know then, what do we call the troops that were from Republic of Viet Nam, Australia, South Korea, Philippines, France and New Zealand that were there fighting with us? I digress...

3. Viet Nam's insurgency was backed by a rival SUPERPOWER, the Taliban just have, get this, Saudi Royal family money propping them up... Hmmm, Wasn't that the family headed by the guy that PresO bowed to when he was on the World Apology Tour 2008: I'm Sorry USA did...(you fill in the blank)? Nevertheless, Communist Super Power nations (spelled China and the Soviet Union) supported, armed and trained the NVA regulars and Viet Cong- they even went as far as taking part in direct actual combat in the air and ground against us while in their trainer capacities... Afghanistan is home grown Islamic extremism, trained there and without alot of true 1-on 1 tactical ability to meet our troops, their well will run dry, we just need the boots on the ground to "drain it"

PresO also noted that it won't work to try to get by with existing troop levels. As noted, the existing troop levels are not halting the Taliban's advance enough. And without more troops, we cannot hope to create the improved security conditions that Afghans need in order to join and later OWN the fight.

Finally, PresO in his speech insinuated that we leave "gate open" for members of the Taliban to be brought back into the existing infrastructure provided they "renounce violence and agree to certain human rights conditions." In other words, what his strategy does is he wants to drive a wedge between moderates and extremists within the Taliban. The best way to do that is by convincing them that they cannot win, of course existing troop levels aren't sending a very convincing message. What he didn't tell say was that his administration has started PAYING Al Quaida/Taliban leaders to defect... SOOO, basically he is just renting them until we leave...

Those were my thoughts and observations folks, what were yours if you watched it? Also, I wrote this quickly while it was still fresh in my head if I forgot anything please add the comment. Thanks!

Comparing: F. D. Roosevelt, "Joe" Stalin, Hitler and maybe "O"?

What were the similarities between
Hitler, Stalin and Franklin Delano Roosevelt?

Some quick but limited research and this is what I came up with:

-They took control of newspapers and newsreels to advertise themselves.

-They promised "change" and "new ways to better the economy" through nationalized socialist means and huge government intervention and bureacracy

-They were very charismatic and motivational speakers

-They sought to cure a depression.

Who else can be added that is similar to these comparisons? History has a nasty habit of repeating itself- especially when we choose to forget its lessons in the light of the greater good.

Forsaking our freedoms and civil liberties and letting the government start making our moral and capital choices for us is a step in a direction that has failed miserably in many national and regional experiments of socialism and utopianism. Many times I have iterated that the last person that should be trusted with a check book and monetary policy is an elected official.

The Soviet Socialist experiment failed miserably because the government tried to artificially control the economy and people's fiscal and retail choices. Those of us that grew up in what was once West Germany, and actually made the trip to East Berlin, can attest to the lines and shortages and the "fake" currency printed and minted to bolster the puppet economy there. We are on a crash course minting and printing our puppet money and socializing health and other industries...

Just a caveat, don't comment here blasting me saying that I said "anyone specifically in current public office" is like Hitler... I illustrated public solical policies of those predessor and historical public and national leaders that were in effect failures.

The social system and huge public spending that FDR incorporated failed to get us out of a depression and left us with the Social Security and Welfare entitlement system that is so broken today and unable to sustain itself beyond the next couple of decades. FDR did electrify the southern states with power though...

It was a WAR, World War 2 saved all of these men's bacon and economies, though not for a lengthy term for 2 of them and our own US post WW2 laurels are just now crashing down around us in our auto giants and banks failing through bad management and greed... we don't need more laws and more government- we need ENFORCEMENT of EXISTING LAWS...

Wake up sleeping American giant, arouse from your opiated stupor of uber-Change and get it right- for our children and grandchildren's sakes!

Oh and a shout out for one of my favorite radio personalities who just died this past weekend:

Paul Harvey Sr., "page 2, stand by for news!" was 90 years old.

Thanks for telling it like it was Paul Harvey- you are the last of an era and you will be missed greatly sir.

When did U.S. sovereignty and property owners' rights dissolve - I missed that one...

Recently in the Washington Times a piece was printed about 16 illegal aliens suing an Arizona Rancher for "violating their civil rights" because in protecting his property- which is in the United States southern border frontier that is sparsely protected and patrolled- he stopped them at gunpoint from using his property as an illegal entry point.

16 illegals sue Arizona rancher

I am still at a loss as to when the illegal behaviour of others as well as aliens' rights merited equal civil court time against law abiding US citizens acting within their rights and well inside of their own property and border- to protect their property and detain persons conducting illegal acts...

When did America become the place you maek a beeline to go to not only to commit illegal acts and then get reated with all the rights of a native born American citizen - and then as a result merit our taxpayers' dollars to protect your illegal law breaking ass??!!

It would seem America is no longer the home of the brave and the land of the free, America is now the location of graves of the brave and the land of the freeloader. In no other country in the world - IN NO OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD I say, I repeat again, can you walk across their borders, commit illegal acts and get on their gravy train, and not especially after you have committed those illegal acts - ESPECIALLY not in our immediate southern neighbor The Federal Republic of Mexico. A country I might add that once conspired with Germany to take land back from our southern states in the event we lost one of them World Wars of our past that set the tone of who we are (errr, I mean WERE in the World)...

Obama is Reagan-esque today...

Things that make you go hmmmmm...

President Obama said today: "...Business, not government, is the engine of economic growth in this country..."

I wonder why then, that Komrade Nancy Pelosi and Komrade Barney Frank, want to continue with this Socialist "redistribution of wealth" and social spending that IS NOT GOING TO STIMULATE the economy RIGHT NOW OR LATER... President Obama himself even acknowledges that his government can't help save jobs saying, "...It is true that we cannot depend on government to create jobs or long-term growth"

Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the architect of the last century's American socialism, of whom which we still ride the coat-tails of, they being Social Security and the American Welfare system... FDR's own Secretary of the Treasury after World War 2 said that all the money they spent in infrastructure and social entitlement programs was not instrumental in America emerging from the Depression - what was instrumental was the growth of American industry to support the massive needs of the World War that employed Americans and fueled the prosperity America still seems to rest on...

BUT 20 days ago, President-elect, at the time, Obama was leading the government spending charge...

On Jan. 8th he said: "...only government can provide the short-term boost necessary to lift us from a recession this deep and severe..."

A current topic of interest of mine is the bailout of the "Big 3" auto manufacturers.

Just before the eclipse of 2008, the Big 3 U.S. auto manufacturers came to Washington, hands out, to ask the federal government for BIG money to tithe them over while they were trying to figure out if they could make it through the next few years. They flew to Washington to ask for this money - because they ARE SOOOO CASH STRAPPED- in their own respective private jets.

Now we're just going to go on a mathematical tangent here for a couple'a minutes because I am distracted by the beggars arriving on their own respective private jets (owned by each respective auto manufacturer corporate).

Okay here we go:
One jet - USED we're talking a minumum of $1,000,000 for a USED 4 passenger jet to $16,000,000 for something new and relatively nice but not too posh. A pilot runs around $100,000 a year, most jets have 2 of these. A hangar runs around $3-4K/month and maintenance teams can be up to $15K for every 40 hours of flight. Avgas is averaging around $3.50/gallon and these planes gotta have around 200-400 gallon tanks (if not bigger!) Just those simple figures mean that to maintain these jets that only the elite of their respective companies get to use the corporations are probably spending up to a million dollars to maintain the jets... Now if you were going to beg for a handout, wouldn't you go looking your raggediest or most thrifty to not look TOO RIDICULOUS?

So they went a begging and they got some interesting responses - one of which was that they had to give some plans and figures on how they were going to use the money loaned to them to become profitable again and how and what kind of timetable they were going to pay the loan back... Well this offended the auto executives!

C'mon people, when you go to the SBA (Small Business Administration) for a loan, they don't just cut you a check. Guess what- they want a business plan, they want to know how your business is going to work and succeed to pay the SBA loan back. Just because you think you can build flying saucers isn't exactly a guarantee of guvment checks to finance your personal pipe dream...

Sooo... if you go to Washington, on your private jet, and ask the government to bail your BIG business out- why be miffed that they send you home until you come back with a business plan that shows how/when you will pay back that investment. Private equity and investment houses would ask no less themselves, why is it different when that "investor" is the American people/Government.

Now, I DO AGREE that the most wasteful people with a checkbook are congressional politicians, and most especially Democrats as well.

Also, another pet peeve - the unions! When their constituents' jobs are all on the edge of the axe, that auto unions are unwilling to bend on the compensation, benefits and ridiculous retirement that are sucking the auto manufacturers dry. Just grandfather out the benies for the workers there for more than 15 or 20 years and move on. Make the workers partners and alienate the unions, give the workers bonuses on lowering costs to production and lowering rejection and assembly line mistakes that lead to costly recalls.

We already have more than half a million new unemployment claims last month, so what's a couple more thousand auto workers to add to that right?

Wrong, we really want to save the industry- we don't want to hand that huge sector over to foreign auto manufacturers without a fight BUT we need to do it intelligently with the American ingenuity that has sustained us for over 235 years.

Some of those auto manufacturers create the very strategic vehicles needed for our infrastructure, our security and military, so there is a national security aspect to it in that you don't want a foreign investment to buy into it either and have access to the patents and technology that makes us innovatively superior to other nations. It leaves us in a conundrum...

I guarantee that guys like my old Marine Corps buddies Arthur and Lewis who sell those cars aren't getting those union benefits and its ridiculous that non-college educated relatively low skilled jobs, that are predominantly supplemented by robotic labor on assembly lines, get paid that much and get those much benefits while the rest of non-union, blue and white collar, and working class America cannot relate to them and we pay our co-pays too! These people make more than 60% of our teachers and have better retirement than they who prepare our children for their futures!

Auto Unions can be a cancer on further expansion and advancement of the current American auto industry... Prove to me they aren't potentially a malignant cancer and that they have a use to us now in 2009. Do not give me 1892 Industrial Revolution health and welfare issues and examples... I challenge any of you to tell me why in 2009 with comprehensive labor reform and federal and state labor laws and protections for workers, that we need labor unions... Unions drive up the price of goods manufactured to pay for the ridiculous concessions that they require for their members. Are there some good unions, yes I grant that there are, but I am not addressing anything other than specifically auto industry unions in this essay. The bailout of these Big 3 and their re-structure for future growth and competitiveness has to address unions.

Another thing it has to address is timetables and development of new technology for fuel efficiency and fuel independence for vehicles and alternative fuel vehicles specifically that are AFFORDABLE to common Americans.

Now, Ford went home, they now say they don't need the money, they'll go it alone without it.

Congress also has to do its share. the time of the free meal ticket for foreign nations to import into the U.S. at will with little to no tariff and taxation is over. When our own auto manufacturers cannot be competitive abroad because their competitor markets ration the number and type of vehicles that they can export to competitor nations. You want free trade and you want a favored nation status for trading with America - open your markets and have parity with our industry...

This story isn't over- it's only just begun...

Pope: Homophobic? No, he's just leading with consistency.

Tuesday, December 23, Foxnews.com reported that Pope Benedict XVI, the current Primate of the Catholic Church, as being accused of "stoking homophobia after speech."

What is really interesting is the way that the MSM (mainstream liberal media) likes to ignore secular (non-religous) world leaders and national states of true homophobia, and would rather concentrate on attacking a religious leader instead. Remember, in America, Church/religious speech is protected and separate under our Constitution...

One case in point of a target that the MSM has been soft on, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Rather should I call him the Iranian state emissary of ignorance and intolerance and hate, a main spokesperson for what President Bush refers to as the "Axis of Evil."

In 2007, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, speaking to Columbia University, said that "homosexuality does not exist in Iran." In Iran, since the Iranian Revolution of 1979, LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual) rights have come under intense governmental persecution, with international human rights groups reporting public floggings and executions of lesbian, gay and bisexual individuals. This is a national state, people, with laws and rules of public society based on fundamentalist Islamic laws and codes, that is endorsing this aberrant public physical corporal punishment and behaviour at a secular level. We won't even go into the Iranian state's public and vociferous calls for the destruction of the nation of Israel and anyone who supports and recognizes that state (hello, that includes us, the US of A), the MSM ignores that too...

Anyway, I digress, let's get back to the main topic, which are the comments made by Pope Benedict XVI, where they were made and their context.

Let us PLEASE remember and consider, as previously stated here in this essay, that Pope Benedict XVI is the Primate, the LEADER AND EARTHLY VOICE, of the Roman Catholic Church. Note, the Catholic Church is the LARGEST CHRISTIAN CHURCH in the world, counting in its membership number 1/6 of the world's population. Let me stress and repeat again - A CHURCH.

Pope Benedicts comments were made in his end-of-year address to the Curia. This is akin to the Chairman of the Board making a closed address to the board of governors of a corporation. The Curia is the administrative body, the central governing body of the entire Roman Catholic Church. It coordinates and provides the necessary central organization for the correct functioning of the Church and the achievement of the Church's goals.

Now what exactly did he say during his last "staff metting"? Well, he was doing what every CEO is supposed to do, he was getting his people on message and focusing them on their mission. One of the missions he set for his team in that address was getting humanity, that is all of us people in case you have forgotten, to listen to the
“language of creation”.
He was stressing to his team that the intended roles of man and woman and behavior beyond traditional heterosexual relations was a

“destruction of God’s work”
. Let's put this in simple terms for the MSM and liberal-minded folks, God created Adam and Eve NOT Adam and Steve. GOD created Adam and Eve to go forth and be fruitful not to be "fruity". He also said,
“The tropical forests do deserve our protection. But man, as a creature, does not deserve any less,"

"What’s needed is something like a ‘human ecology,’ understood in the right sense. It’s not simply an outdated metaphysics if the Church speaks of the nature of the human person as man and woman, and asks that this order of creation be respected.”

The Pope also said,
“That which is often expressed and understood by the term ‘gender’ in the end amounts to the self-emancipation of the human person from creation and from the Creator."

"Human beings want to do everything by themselves, and to control exclusively everything that regards them. But in this way, the human person lives against the truth, against the Creator Spirit.”

Nowhere in this message do I read HOMOPHOBIC.

Okay, so let's explore that word and what it means and how it is abused by the liberal and LGBT groups to attack people or organizations that they perceive as a threat to their LIFESTYLE CHOICE.
Homophobic is being prejudiced against homosexual people.

The simple truth is this:

The Catholic Church does oppose gay marriage and the social acceptance of homosexuality and same-sex relationships, because those relationships and acts are against God's design for man and woman, and those relationships inherently promote sinful homosexual acts that are not condoned by God and are, obviously, out of wedlock. Wedlock/marriage, which by Church definition is a union of a man and woman for procreation.

Noteworthy, the Church does not exclude homosexual PEOPLE from the liturgy and from participation in the Church. The Catholic Church also teaches that homosexual persons deserve respect, justice and pastoral care. The ACTS and LIFESTYLE that they commit as homosexual persons are the SINS the Church says need to be ostracized not the actual people. SINFUL ACTS can be avoided, we can choose not to steal or lie, but a LIFESTYLE is a CHOICE... And God, in their infinite wisdom did give Man and Woman free will.

So, in summary, the MSM labeling leaders of conservative and ultra-conservative or religio-conservative groups just because of their belief and conviction and that they are contrary to the MSM author's views is the last resort of a liberal losing battle. If they can't change your mind with their unreasonable arguments then they will label you, call you names and cry foul as if you are the wrong and they are the wronged.

Democrat Franken-stein Monster

In the Frankenstein story, penned by Mary Shelley 190 years ago in 1818, an inanimate hodpodge of human remains and viscera are reanmiated to give it life again by a mad scientist. Well guess what, it's 2008 and the mad scientists are really doing it. This time we call them Democrats and the scene of the horrific reanimation of a human corpse is in Minnesota. The political corpse is named of all things Franken, Al Franken-stein to you folks!

Apparently, the voters of Minnesota spoke, and just as in the old 19th century eastern European scene of villagers hunting and destroying the monster and his creater, you'd have thought the will of the Minnesota grand village would have been respected by the mad Democrat political scientists! Nope, they pulled him out of the fire, literally, since he was politically dead with a failed left wing radio talk show he really had nowhere else to go but back to comedy. Now let's be really honest folks- was he really even that funny when he was doing comedy? Nope, he was as funny as Janeane Garofalo so yeah, not very much huh! His comedy had the backbone of a krill and was as funny as a whale digesting them by the ton...

In the Shelley novel, the monster fights to stay alive, it wants to live after all! Well, in the case of Franken, he doesn't even need to fight because he has the Secretary of State of Minnesota, Mark Ritchie, doing that for him in the form of an UNLTRA-BIASED, PARTISAN, and SUBJECTIVE precinct by precinct ballot recount.

Now, you would assume, "OK, they're doing a recount, so ALL of the precincts RECOUNTED and RECERTIFIED would be the official numbers right?" NO, WRONG. In his omniscient wisdom, probably loaned to him by Messiah Obama, he has decided ONLY TO USE THE RECOUNTS THAT SUPPORT FRANKEN and THROW OUT THE RECOUNTS THAT SUPPORT the Reublican incumbent...

I digress here quickly... Talk about DISENFRANCHISING THE VOTERS! Oh yeah, what am I thinking, Messiah Obama did the same thing- he disenfranchised registered voters' choices for candidates on the ballot he was on for Senate- when he had ALL OF HIS OPPONENTS THROWN OFF THE TICKET... with NO ONE TO OPPOSE HIM of course he was going to have the "Landslide win for Change" that Oprah cooed about on her show. "YES WE CAN" was his campaign motto then, they left out, "...REMOVE OUR OPPOSITION FROM THE BALLOT/TICKET"...

Listen people, Democrats no longer care about disenfranchised voters, they now have a market share of doing that themselves... along with the infamous ACORN, who make it their duty to enfranchise voters, even the one's who have been dead for decades and some that are not even citizens or real. Remember when McCain made the crack about Chicago Politicians? He wasn't just name calling he was stating the fact that voters and the press chose not to pursue...

Now back to our previously scheduled programming!

Minnesota SOS Mark Ritchie even claims to have mysteriously FOUND MORE NEW VOTES! Call in Scooby Doo and the Mystery Machine! Where did all of these NEW VOTES come from? Remember ACORN? Well, they were instrumental in Ritchie's election success too... you figure it out.

So, while Republican incumbent Coleman won the Election on Election Day and won the intial canvas, and is "winning" the recount (I use that term loosely); Minnesota election officials are doing everything they can to falsely create the win for Franken.

First, let's examine the canvas, which was a process to resubmit the vote totals from election night from the local precincts to a central location. They magically found errors favoring Franken so incredibly statistically improbable that statisticians are questioning the officials in these counties.

However, when the error favors Coleman, Ritchie chooses, in his messianic wisdom, NOT to let it count.

During the recount when an Election Official explained an error that resulted in Franken losing votes had occurred when her precinct double counted some votes on election night. Well, after a bit torque screw pressure was applied from Democrats, mysteriously the official changed her story, AND the Mark Ritchie led Canvassing Board decided for that precinct only the recount did not count and would instead use the more favorable to Franken Election Day total.

One member of his canvassing board said, "We're not going to be entirely consistent. Part of it is going to be how the ballot strikes us." Is Johnny Carson dead or is the Great Karnak reincarnated as a Democrat canvaser assuming the meaning of chads and ticks on voters' ballots...

Post script added on 12/24/2008: Franken's triple digit lead has evaporated to a slim double digit lead in the 20-30 vote range. This is not even calling into question yet the count/recount of almost 1,600 absentee ballots on which both candidates' camps have yet to come to agreement on for tallying...

Post script added:
01/28/2009: Coleman and Franken are now in court dealing with the various inconsistencies of the election and of course, getting the courts decisions, to determine who has actually won the seat... Note: Acorn was here in MIN too...

02/18/2009: still in court

03/03/2009: County officials want Al Franken to kick them down more cash to come testify in court for him...!! pay for testimony here folks...?

03/03/2009: Coleman's team rests their case - 3 Judge panel to determine outcome based on percentage of verifiable cheating to margin between candidates... Thanks for cheating again ACORN!

Loss of Culpability (It's not my fault!)

Once upon a time, in Amerika, people were principled. When something was screwed up, lost, miscalculated, manufactured incorrectly, etc., people took responsibility for those faults or issues caused and made good on them...

Remember when the generation of our Grandparents, and in some of your cases Great-grandparents, were referred to as the GREATEST GENERATION? They don't call Amerikans great anymore. We, collectively, are a bunch of whining, crying, tort tossing, irresponsible people. When we burn ourselves on a cup of comrade McDonald's coffee we sue him- AS IF WE DIDN'T EXPECT IT TO BE HOT COFFEE. Personally, I buy my coffee cold and my soda hot from comrade McDonald's restaurant chain. Yeah, like I like cold showers and frigid women- NOT!

We raise our children without consequences, on a diet of high fructose cartoon violence and dress them in Elmo cuteness... When they get in trouble we swoop in and tell school administrators it's ok- we are having difficulties at home, he has been sick lately, or it was just TOO MANY TWINKIES.

Culpability, what does it mean? Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa - Amerikan popular culture loves to bandy the phrase about without truly coming through and deliverin ghte lesson of what it means. Lisa Simpson, a cartoon character at that, uses it. Jack Ryan, Tom Clancy's hero character of many a novel that I have enjoyed used in a fictitious conversation with the Prince of Wales. We hear it chanted int eh background of one of the scenes in Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It's even the title of one of the scenes in Fight Club... BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN? From the smattering of its use in film and fiction, do we truly get the lesson of what mea culpa, culpability, really is? Not really - we get lost in the technicolor washed out director's dreams and concepts of a film and we never really get the lesson.

How would or should we get the lesson? By not settling for less than full justice and full punishment for any crime or infraction, the punishments being proportionate to the acts... Longer time outs for kids- locking the XBox away for more than a few hours when Johnny can't read and gets and F in English... from the time we realize that we should be dumping in the toilet and not in our knickers, our parents and teachers should be chastizing and punishing the wrongful acts. Public trials and figures should never settle for less than what they originally sought to indict an individual for - to do any less cheapens the system, and dilutes discipline and the responsibility of the offending character... LESS IS NOT MORE. MORE IS MORE.

Blagojevich's "I have done nothing wrong." meanderings in his press conference are just garbage and a total indication of the problem of Amerikan society. Not taking responsibility and no culpability. The key word in his statement is the word DONE - indicating the ACT COMMITTED... Unfortunately for Blago, conspiracy and the intent are clearly there... what I'd like to see and most likely won't see is Rohm Emmanuel, our new Chief Executive elect's Chief of Staff select get some of that medicine too- but it won't happen. The media will vindicate him by way of removing any guilt or stain of insinuation thereof from their new Messiah in the 2009 White House.
